As you know, I have been running a bi-weekly series of workshops focused on connecting with archangels. As I prepared for the Archangel Jophiel workshop held at the end of February, she requested that I focus key messages and meditation on ‘patience‘.
Patience is defined as the capacity for waiting without becoming annoyed or upset and also to persevere calmly when faced with difficulties. We can focus patience in many areas of our lives. Patience with ourselves, patience with others, patience with our earthly journey as it unfolds, including areas of our lives which we cannot control.
For example, when natural events like a snow storm take place, most of us get frustrated and annoyed at the inconveniences that it causes rather than appreciating the serenity and the beauty of a fresh blanket of snow. Focusing on the challenges that a snowstorm brings, we miss bringing in that energy of serenity and peace if only for a few minutes. But imagine the joy of falling onto your back and excitedly creating a snow angel. Archangel Jophiel smiles down at you, happy to see you enjoying yourself. Your inner child is happy. With a heart filled with you, you are now ready to tackle your day including shoveling your front walkway with a bounce in your step and a joyous heart.
By being patient, we are able to let go of things outside of our control and live with less stress, anxiety, and frustration. And as such, we can focus on the present moment and live with loving and peaceful energy. Also, by letting go of a constant state of urgency, we usually gain clarity and we are able to expand our perception on any situation.
Archangel Jophiel is encouraging us to relax and to be patient with ourselves and with others. She is suggesting that we simplify our lives and as such, we live more in the moment. She is also asking that we find the time to regularly enjoy the beauty of nature. Nature can remind us that every seed that we sow needs time to grow and bloom and so do all of our plans and goals. She is reminding us that all unfolds in divine timing. And finally, by simplifying our lives, we will enhance our ability to be patient and we will find peace and serenity.
Here are a few tips that she has given us:
1) Practice mindfulness in order to become more aware of what triggers your impatience
2) Focus on the breath
3) Really look around you and appreciate the beauty
4) Practice listening instead of just hearing
5) Ask for help and support from your spiritual team
Affirmation from Archangel Jophiel:
“I am patient with myself because deep in my heart I know that everything happens at the right time in perfect divine timing. I take the time to pause and find joy and peace in the present moment and appreciate my surroundings and the people around me. I know that I am loved and supported.”
